چکیده

This study was concerned with the adhesion of resin cement to metal surfaces obtained by selective laser melting process (SLM), and how it could be improved bond strength at biocomposite-metal junction. The SLM substrates were manufactured out pure titanium (Ti), Ti6Al7Nb, CoCr alloys. metallic covered 5 types biocomposites: 2 commercially resin-modified glass-ionomer cements (GC Fuji Plus KETAC CEM) 3 in-house developed materials. These biocomposites mechanical characterized under compression bending trials. biocomposites-metal settled both on as built after they sandblasted alumina. All presented higher in comparison untreated specimens. specimens show highest bonding value. Additionally, morphological aspects joining interfaces investigated using a scanning electron microscope (SEM). properties these influenced liquid powder ratio. It is essential apply surface treatment substrate achieve stronger bond. Also, chemical composition biocomposite major factor which may improve different substrates.

Efficient Three Dimensional Modelling of Additive Manufactured Textile Structures

Textile structures realised by Additive Manufacturing (AM) techniques have received increasing attention during the previous decade. Due to their potential to significantly improve upon both the geometric complexity and functionality available from conventional fibre-based textiles, AM textiles present a serious opportunity to design and develop novel solutions for conventional and high-perform...

Characterization of Additive Manufactured Objects

Hybrid Layered Manufacturing (HLM) combines the benefits of both subtractive and Additive Manufacturing (AM). In this paper authors did characterization of AM components by using Kernel Average Misorientation (KAM), Electron Backscatter Diffraction (EBSD) and hardness tester. The main focus is on matrix integrity during Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) deposition and surface quality during machinin...

Surface Roughness and Morphology Customization of Additive Manufactured Open Porous Ti6Al4V Structures

Additive manufacturing (AM) is a production method that enables the building of porous structures with a controlled geometry. However, there is a limited control over the final surface of the product. Hence, complementary surface engineering strategies are needed. In this work, design of experiments (DoE) was used to customize post AM surface treatment for 3D selective laser melted Ti6Al4V open...

Evaluation of Tensile Bond Strength between Dentin and Metallic Copings Using Different Resin Cements

Statement of the Problem: For a successful clinical outcome, luting agents should have a high bond strength. Bond failure is still one of the main reasons of restoration failures. Purpose: The present study was designed to comparatively evaluate the retention of metallic copings using different resin luting cements. Materials and Method: In the present experimental study, 40 intact premolar tee...
